On the last stop of TVNZ New Zealand travel guides, the guides arrived at Tamaki Makaurau, the country’s largest urban center.

This series of travel guides has been given a kiwi twist, inspiring New Zealanders to explore and revisit their own backyard. As guides toured the Southland wilderness and Eastern Cape beaches, an Auckland city break was booked for last.

And the city of sails has many surprises in store, even for the guides who live there.
Last night’s adventure saw guides see the city from above on a helicopter tour and left nothing to be desired at an Auckland oyster farm.

Inspired by the travel guides‘ journey through the big smoke? Here where they went, what they did and where they ate, and you can too.
