The government announced that the The Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) form will replace the Australia Travel Declaration form. All travelers entering the country will need to complete the DPD. The DPD will be made available to travelers seven days prior to departure and must be submitted within 72 hours of departure. On the DPO formtravelers will be required to provide information and confirmation of the following:

  • Contact details, including a contact telephone number in Australia;

  • Confirm vaccination status;

  • Declare any travel history for the past 14 days;

  • Confirm they are aware of any quarantine and testing requirements that may be carried out upon arrival in Australia depending on the state or territory they are landing in.

The government of Australia no longer require fully vaccinated travelers undergo a PCR test before departure or a rapid antigen test when entering the country from April 18, 2022.

What are the changes?

The Australian government has replaced the Australia Travel Declaration web form with the Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) form. The government said the change will allow faster access to the information needed to enter the country.

From April 18, 2022, the Australian government will allow fully vaccinated travelers to enter the country without undergoing a PCR test before departure. These travelers may still need to undergo testing upon arrival depending on the state or territory in which their flight lands.
