Travel Guides: May 18 | tv tonight

This is the last episode of travel guides Wednesday.

Tonight the guides are in Sydney, but tomorrow they will travel to western Victoria from the Great Ocean Road to Ballarat on a 500km road trip.

They visit Otway Ranges, the Twelve Apostles, Sovereign Hill, Kryal Castle (why?) and Tuki Trout Farm.

Starting from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport, our guides collect their cars to begin the great Victorian road trip.

The Great Ocean Road winds and turns for 240 km along Victoria’s rugged south coast. Entering the Otway Ranges, our guides explore ancient rainforests with a dose of adrenaline at the Live Wire Park, climb obstacles ten meters above the ground and descend roller coasters at a speed of 40 km per hour.

With breathtaking views at every turn, our guides continue the road trip to admire the Twelve Apostles. For an even better view of the coast, they soar in full aerobatic training planes performing inverted victory rolls and g-force-inducing barrel rolls, challenging some to save their lunch.

Back on the ground, our guides place the coast in the rear view mirror and head inland to the historic town of Ballarat, known for its colonial architecture and golden past.

The Great Victorian Gold Rush is celebrated at Sovereign Hill, a living museum that shows all aspects of life on the goldfields in the mid-1800s.

7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Nine.
