Travel guides embark on the adventure of the red center

The popular Australian travel series, Travel Guides, returns in 2021 for a series of all-Australian events with an outback adventure through the Red Center with the guides visiting Alice Springs, Kings Canyon and Uluru.

Airing on Nine and 9Now, the series stars a group of ordinary Australians who take on the role of travel reviewers by examining local accommodation, food and sights.

In Alice Springs, guides experience a stay at the Crowne Plaza, visit the Transport Museum Hall of Fame, visit the family-run Earth Sanctuary World Nature Center, and see a surprise performance at Monte’s Lounge.

Guides then hit the road for a self-guided tour of Kings Canyon where they experience camping at Kings Creek Station as well as the Kings Canyon Rim Walk.

The final destination is Uluru, with guides heading to Voyages Ayres Rock Resort for a luxury stay at Sails in The Desert as well as a Segway tour around Uluru, cultural workshops and a dining experience under the stars at Sounds of Silence / Tali Wiru.

Territorials can tune in to watch Travel Guides on Channel 9 or Imparja tomorrow, Wednesday January 27 at 7:30 p.m. to catch all the action and start planning their own NT adventure by visiting www.northernterritory.com.au

Quotes from Marketing Tourism NT Executive General Manager Tony Quarmby:

“The presentation of the Red Center across the country is fantastic and will provide much needed awareness raising for tourism operators, accommodation providers and local businesses in the territory.

“With the NT summer sales resulting in interstate bookings to the NT, as well as territorials taking more road vacations, it’s great to be showcased to promote vacations here this year at. across the country. “
