Newport International Boat Show Announces Show Logistics and Travel Information

Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), today announced show information for those planning to attend the 49th annual show from September 12-15, 2019. One of the largest boat shows nationwide, and kicking off the boat show season, NIBS will welcome exhibitors from all over the world with an exceptional assortment of boats of all types and styles, as well as a variety of accessories, equipment, electronics, equipment and services for boaters.

The landscape along America’s Cup Avenue and Commercial Wharf has recently been transformed with the construction of the new Hammetts Wharf Hotel. However, the location of the hotel forced the show producers to refresh and modify the tent and terrestrial exhibits that once stood in its current location. There is no impact on the space in the water, in fact there are extensions on the north and south sides of the Newport Yachting Center to accommodate the growing number of boats. For attendees’ purposes, all parts of the show are still connected and within walking distance of each other – the show has essentially moved north to the Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina.

“We have enlarged and changed the layout of the show to accommodate our tents and exhibitors while keeping everything within walking distance,” said Nancy Piffard, director of the show in a statement. “This year, in addition to all of the latest and greatest performing boats and marine products on display at the Newport Yachting Center, plan to walk north towards Bannister’s and Bowen’s Wharves to all the additional exhibits currently in Market Square and Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina. ”

The Living Room Office and Will Call Window are located at the New Market Square Entrance of the Living Room, across from Seamen’s Church Institute.

Below is a list of land developments:

  • Tent C is located at the Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina (NHHM) at the intersection of America’s Cup Avenue and Market Square.
  • Market place, which runs perpendicular to America’s Cup Avenue, will be the main entrance to the show with exhibits of tented grounds and house the living room office and the Will Call window.
  • Bowen wharf the central lot will be the exhibition of NIBS lands.
  • Tent A, which is opposite The Mooring restaurant, has doubled in size – occupying the entire grounds.
  • Tent B has been expanded and will be dedicated to engines, engine accessories and marine services.
  • D&G tents are in the same location as in the past on the Newport Yachting Center site.

Security fences will surround and contain the hotel construction project.

The best place to park to watch the show is at Easton’s Beach, located at 175 Memorial Blvd, Newport. Parking is $ 25 per vehicle and a continuous shuttle service to and from the boat show site (approximately 1.6 miles) is available free with parking space. The car park and the shuttle service run every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. A parking pass for the Easton’s Beach lot can be purchased at the beach entrance or in advance online – parking passes purchased online must be ordered at least 24 hours from the advance.
