LIVE: Traffic and travel information on an accident day in Gloucestershire

Welcome to the live traffic blog of Thursday February 6, 2020 which saw a number of incidents on the county’s roads.

Today we bring you the latest information on the roads of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds regions.

The A417 London Road at the junction with Witpit Lane, near Cirencester

Tonight there was a serious accident on the A417 at London Road, Norcote, at the junction with Witpit Lane, near Cirencester.

The road was partially blocked in both directions after the accident which occurred at 3:30 p.m. The incident has since been clarified.

More details on this as we get it.

There were several accidents this morning in Cheltenham.

There was a car and motorcycle collision on the A40 at Charlton Kings and another car and motorcycle collision on the southbound B4632 near Pittville Circus Road in Cheltenham.

While there was an accident involving a pedestrian and a car in Up Hatherley.

In the afternoon a car and truck collision on the southbound M5 in Worcestershire was causing delays. It has since cleared up.
