Green Traveler launches sustainable travel guides in northern Greece

Green Traveler has launched two new Green Traveler Guides to destinations in Greece in association with the Greek National Tourism Organization in the UK and Ireland.

The new guides are for Western Macedonia and Thessaloniki

Each of the guides contains recommendations on where to stay, eat and what to do in the two northern regions of Greece.

Green Traveler has also produced two short videos to accompany the online guides.

This high-impact video showcases some of the best experiences in and around
both areas.

Thessaloniki is a diverse city that combines UNESCO heritage sites and archaeological treasures with a contemporary lifestyle. As a modern hub, it’s a great base from which to explore both regions and their national parks.

Eleni Skarveli, Director of GNTO UK & Ireland, said: “When people ask about unknown places to visit in Greece, Western Macedonia always comes to mind.

“Only a few hours drive from Thessaloniki, the region of Western Macedonia is a land full of surprises and breathtaking landscapes.”

“Northern Greece and in particular the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is certainly one of the
the secret gems of Greece.
