Comic Con Scotland in Edinburgh: Guests, Times, Tickets, Floor Plan, Travel Info & More

It is finally time.

Comic Con Scotland will arrive in Edinburgh this weekend with a host of legendary characters performing at the Royal Highland Center.

Jean-Claude Van Damme, the great WWE The Undertaker, movie star Christopher Lloyd and three stars of the hit TV series Sons of Anarchy are among those, to name a few, in town for this massive event. .

Actor Burt Young, best known for his role as Rocky Balboa’s brother-in-law and best friend Paulie Pennino, is also expected to meet fans as well as stars of Game of Thrones, Beverly Hills Cop and Star Wars.

There will also be a ‘set-build’ Simpsons lounge, a witchcraft and wizardry school area, and a sci-fi love area with the Star Wars T-70 X-Wing, the Battlestar Galactica. Colonian Viper and the ET Forest set with ET.

The organizers of the event, which is the second of its kind to take place, have released a full schedule and floor plan giving people a taste of what to expect.

How to get tickets?

Passes are available online with entrance tickets and photos and autograph tickets also on sale. You can get early entry tickets for Saturday or Sunday, which allows you to visit from 9 a.m., or standard admission tickets, which allows you to enter from 11 a.m.

Weekend tickets are also available, with cheaper options available for concessions and infants.

A Diamond Entrance Pass, which grants you photos, autographs, skip the line, and a front row Q&A, can also be purchased.

The event ends both days at 6 p.m.

And how do I get there?

Well, most of us coming from Edinburgh will know the best routes in and out of Ingliston, but for those coming from further afield there are plenty of travel tips on the Comic Con website.

The Royal Highland Center site is not too far from the M8 and M9 motorways and is just off Glasgow Road (A8). Lothian buses run regular services to the area with their Airlink 100, Skylink 200 and 300, and 20 and 63 services. Trams run to Ingliston Park and Ride, a 20-minute walk from the site, and the nearest jumping station. . at would be Edinburgh Gateway.
